Hey. All is well here. Great weekend so far. Hope everyone else is having a fun 4th. On Friday Jed went to see Transformers with his little brother and dad. Then Friday evening he ad I walked up to watch the Red Lion fireworks. Of course we can't do anything without a little issue. Where we stopped to watch the show Jed made contact with a gift left by someones dog. Why are people just too lazy to clean up after their dog? Anyway we watched most of the the fireworks and then headed home where Jed went right to the bathtub! Yesterday we spent the whole day at a camp ground outside of Gettysburg with the Althoff family. Hayley is the girl that turned her birthday party into a fundraiser for The Four Diamonds. We had fun at their campsite. Jed loved it. we ate good food and he played in the creek and played kickball, on the playground and made gooey bananas and smores. He had a busy day! It was so nice of them to invite us up and entertain and feed us! Jed wants to go rent a place up there for a weekend and take DJ. They have cabins (with no water) for $50 a night or you can rent an RV there for $95 a nite. I have a tent but I don't think I could do it! Well, maybe...no I couldn't! We'll see. Anyway we had a great time and Jed REALLY had a great time! Today I think is just a hang out kinda day. Jed was awake earlier but went back to bed...he is worn out!! Danny spent yesterday in Altoona visiting friends and Savannah is in Atlantic City with Kyle and his family. I hope it gets warmer this week I want to go hang at Grace's pool! Tomorrow my cousin,Suzy, aunt Paula and cousins kid, Kaitlyn, are coming to see my Gram so we are going over to hang out and eat some lunch. Can't wait to see them. I want to go stay at my uncle and aunt's place on Chincoteague island sometime soon. But I have to work almost 3 weeks in August so I doubt if we will get to go. Guess that's it. I put some pics of up our "day at Camp" on this post. Tuesday starts 4 weeks of all day chemo..yipee. Oh well almost over....I hope.

What a fantastic day is was indeed. There was absolutely no better way for us to spend the 4th of July than with Jed & Kristin! To see Jed splashing in the creek, playing volleyball & kickball and devouring smores & gooey bananas was absolutely priceless!!!
Words cannot describe how much meeting Jed & his family has meant to the Althoff family. They have touched our lives in ways that we will always remember. To think, it all started with Hayley's incredible desire to help a boy her own age that she had never met, deal with a horrible disease. Seeing Jed so full of life and determined to just be a kid again, really puts life in prospective.

A heartfelt, tremendous thanks to Jed, Kristin, Danny & Savannah for giving us the opportunity to be part of their lives. The Althoffs certainly hope that ours is a friendship that will continue to grow as we get to know Jed better & better!
Love,
Joe, Debbie, Hayley & Ashlyn
