Hi All. so let see, here's what we did today. He was awake and ate a lot of lunch. He took my laptop so he could show Denise and his nurse which Harley's was going to buy and which ones he didn't like. Later we walked down to the desk so he could borrow a video game and he played for a few hours. Danny got here about 3:30 and played with him. We finally went down for his mri at 5pm. When we got to the mri room Jed was very brave, got on the table. No complaining, it is hard for him to lie flat with the needle in his port but he did it. Everything was ok until they put this big HEAVY plastic thing on his chest....on the needle in his port. Not only did it really hurt it was heavy. He stared to get very upset. She tried putting a towel under the thing but it was still sitting on his needle. That's when he decided..no way, not doing it. Of course as soon as his anxiety starts to rise the pain gets bad..and he was unhooked from his morphine. Jed was not a happy guy. I had her call our nurse to come down with a nice dose of ativan and morphine. I made little walls with wash cloths to hold the plastic thing up off his needle. After a few goofy remarks about how high the table was and how he could fly from it he passed out! That was about 6pm...he is still sleeping now. We got back here a little after 8.. When we will see results..couldn't guess. Fingers crossed for something minor that has an easy fix. We want to go home. Very depressing up here and if we stay he has to have the needle in his chest taken out and replaced tomorrow...........nightmare, I am nauseous thinking about it.
I'll let ya'll know when we get results.
Love J & K
P.S. Jed thinks it's really cool that he is getting well wishes from girls that build motorcycles! I told him "Hey I mount tires"....he said that doesn't count! oh well!
Speaking of which, here is the link to the garage girls makeover stuff. I can't say too many times how fun that was
